Sociopaths in the Scene is the title of a forthcoming book by Tim Ponygroom. It is also the title of a pamphlet published on March 26, 2012 by PLK Stables.
The book and pamphlet are about recognizing and dealing with the worst of the bad actors we encounter in the alternative sexuality subcultures.
The pamphlet is intended to be handed out at BDSM 101 presentations, alongside Safer Sex materials and the like. It should be useful at group orientations and in Gateway programs.
We also hope it will be useful to people who are still smarting from a recent encounter, and to people who are struggling to sort out the various bad actors in the scene.
Sociopaths in the Scene is part of a larger effort to gather and present materials on emotional safety in BDSM and Leather. We do so much to education on SM technique, but so little to help those who simply want to socialize in peace.
The pamphlet is available as a PDF file. It can be printed on the front and back of an 8.5 by 11 piece of paper, then folded up to make the pamphlet.
